Do you remember The Hunger Games series?

The truth is that half of the world's wealth is now in hands of 1% of the population. How is this possible?

Well, this 1% of the population has the education, the information, the skills and intelligence to use the technology in their favour so they can rule the world.

Equality nowadays? Well, maybe equal opportunities tendencies. One will be able to develop more than another just because of better opportunities, ambition, set up goals. And we talk here about intelligence, memory and creativity. These people who run the world are extremely creative, never get enough, never consider themselves tired to do more! We talk about emotional intelligence too.

The beauty of this phenomenon is that this 1 % of the population is very well educated, optimistic, wise and humble: they love to give, they love to share, they love to contribute and help. The power is with them though and they control everything. These people are rulers, businessman and businesswomen, entrepreneurs.

We live in ..

                 

A world of change, a world of financial power in the digital era, a world controlled, mastered and  ruled by those who know one word or two about FOS (future of the society), Forex,  Cryptocurrencies, Block Chain, On-line trading, ETS (education through sports), UBI (universal basic income), MB (matched betting), VR (virtual reality),  E-Commerce and many more.

Will you cope with it and stay with those who rule the world or embrace the conservatism and follow the ones who possess the secret of life?

Some like the comfort zone, but success comes from aspiration, desperation, perspiration,  inspiration and business angels (sic)! The capability of being an entrepreneur is actually the capability of being a menteur – the entrepreneurial form of mentor (entrepreneur + mentor = menteur). This skill comes from long time education (reading every day), long time practice (getting experience by doing) and personality (which goes again to education). Knowledge and education are important!

Another important thing: great companies start with great people, not with great ideas. Furthermore, there are billions of ideas in this world – the difference is made by the people who make those ideas reality. And remember, there is no correlation between HQ and business success so far. The secret of success stays in constant checks, step ups with the worldwide evolution, a very strong structure, creative minds, content creators.

Been lucky enough to take part in several events organized by Biz Magazine, an international Business Magazine.  From there I have learned that in business the cash flows are the company’s electrogram. I have learned that entrepreneurship skills are the engine of each civilization in development.  I have learned that each startup is difficult. That a link between universities (education),  research institutes (innovation) and investors (financial potential) is vital for our business development. Claudiu Vranceanu encourages the organization of Research Parks or Research  Festivals. Indeed this is a very fruitful event. I remember participating in the first Science Festival in my life which was in  Cheltenham, the UK.  The event was better than anything I could attend to in terms of fresh news about business, technology and science.

Then, you have to understand that innovation is the key to any business.  Well, innovation is not necessarily an invention (something brand new). Innovation happens when we experiment. When we experiment, we do allow ourselves to be wrong. Innovation is even when we fail. If we fail but we learn from it, then this is not a fail. If you fail and you learn from it, then transformation is happening and then innovation is occurring. Innovation comes from motivation + movement +will +learning +benefiting from it.

Nowadays, people do not look necessary for goods, but for experiences.  Apparently, the experiences are more important than the goods. Furthermore, the future means many things and differ from person to person. Without present, the future does not exist and in our society, everything we have today and tomorrow was built yesterday. The nowadays technology is an industry build on fast today-tomorrow steps,  steps prepared yesterday. Somehow we live the present in the past, hahaha!

In business, the successful strategy is based on cooperation and not on competition. The virtual reality is useful only if we can control it and measure it. The Smart Home, for example, is  a great tool only if we still have our privacy in life. If the technology helps humanity to make  their life easier, positive, better and sustainable, then good.  The SOCIAL entrepreneurship is the power now in business. An example of this is Mobile School,  the  Online School  for children who can not benefit from education;  then Better Help, an app for online counselling and getting advice  in case of fear, depression, love issues, sadness; Mpedigree, an app which can confirm if the medicine you buy is original;  Code for all, an international network of cooperation and help in terms of social cohesion, improving the link between the governments and its citizens; Shop Shoko, an online way to buy traditional hand-made jewels from Africa (the artisans earn 5 times more since this app is available); Bridge forBillions, an online incubator that connects startup entrepreneurs to growth opportunities; Discovering Hands - they have observed that blind people can discover  breast cancer in very early stages, better than no other machine;

Well, the top 10 business unicorns are not in Europe but in the USA and China. Why? Well…

Entrepreneurship is a thing only for some people. It’s about to take your destiny in your hands and grab the destiny of 10, 20 people as well, and with those people who believe in your idea start working on your project. The entrepreneurship is a state of mind too. You have to have the strength, the courage, the capability of risk and reinvention. To be an entrepreneur means to be able to overcome your limits. The entrepreneurship is a controlled environment, chosen by the entrepreneur because he wants to learn, he wants to see how far can he go and he wants to make a beautiful adventure from his ideas (Antonio Eram).

The entrepreneurial skills are coming along with personality, education and a good environment to develop yourself and your business.  It is about the potential to have the courage to change the game and to be conscious that any disruption comes with a price.

I have met many entrepreneurs who started from zero, who had big dreams and who made it happen.  So....If you have genuine intentions, if you are honest with yourself and with the others, if you learn every day and work wisely, then the only way is to reach success.

I wonder what’s more difficult: to be an employee and face the employment inconveniences (searching for jobs, working for too many hours - sometimes without being paid, having a too little time for yourself, hoping for more money,  trying to avoid the conflicts with colleagues or bosses, being understandable and even submissive at work, and many, many more)…

Or to be an employer and face the stress of making the money to pay the employees on time, and when can't do, to search for the courage, strength and openness to say it and face the stress of making other people suffer because you are not able to pay them off; to stay at the office nearly 24 from 24 just to make your business work, to position yourself  every day outside your comfort zone and work hard especially because you believe in your project and you rule by example;  to find solutions every day,  to negotiate your employees’  inconveniences, to be your best when coordinating a team, YOUR team, the team you want to be the best.

Looks like it is tough to be either an employee either an employer.    What is important to know is the fact that you can’t be both. The skills that an employee has,  are totally different than the skills that an employer has.

To be an entrepreneur, to strive to make your idea work, to be able to find jobs for and pay off your people is a big thing.
